Deactivating a User renders their account unusable and immediately logs them out of Lupl.
A deactivated User cannot:
- Log in to Lupl.
- Receive notifications, invites or emails reminders.
- Be added as a Contact.
Does deactivating a User delete their Lupl account and remove their messages or Matter activity?
Deactivating a User does not delete their account, erase their activity, or remove the User from matters. A record of their activity and contributions remains.
How can I tell if a User has been deactivated?
Deactivated Users' names will be grayed out and an 'Account Deactivated' tag will appear next to their name. The User profile image will also display as a grayed out icon with a line through it.
If you try to invite a deactivated User to a Matter a message will be displayed reminding you that deactivated Users cannot receive invites.
Can I send a message to a deactivated User?
Yes. You can continue to send messages to deactivated Users, but as they are unable to log in to their account, they will not be able to read them.
Who can deactivate a user?
Your organization's internal Lupl administrator can deactivate users, reassign Matter ownership, and reactivate users. See "Can I reactivate a deactivated User" for more information.
