Option 1: Invite them to Lupl
The Lupl platform allows you to invite external collaborators as guests for free, enabling better cross-company communication and collaboration.
A "Guest" is a user who does not share your email domain and has been invited to work on a specific matter or project.
Benefits of Inviting Guests to Lupl:
- Lupl's Roles & Permissions feature allows you to restrict access to parts of the Matter.
- Lupl's legally compliant chat allows you to direct message external colleagues.
- If you are on the go, you can chat via the Lupl mobile app rather than distributing your mobile number.
- Creates a central location for providing updates, sharing documents, and exchanging information.
- Reduces email back-and-forth
Option 2: Send for Comments
All documents uploaded to Matter Documents in Lupl can be individually “sent for comments”. This sends a secure link (automatically from Lupl). The recipient(s) can view and comment on the document. The recipient(s) do not need a Lupl account and can only view the sent document – they cannot access any other files or view anything else related to the Matter. You can revoke access anytime, and any comments are retained. See "How do I send a document for comments?" for details.
Option 3: Send for Signature
You can send documents to DocuSign for signature directly from your Lupl Matter. Click here to learn how.
Option 4: CC Matter Email
Every matter in Lupl has a unique email address. You can cc, bcc or fwd any emails to this address. Lupl will auto-import messages and attachments into the Matter Channel. Any attachments will also automatically be imported into the matter documents (if your storage e.g. NetDocuments is connected). Go to the Details tab of the Matter to view the Matter's email address.
