I created an automation but it's not doing its job. What should I do?

If you created an automation and find that it's not being triggered, please double-check for the following:

• Is your automation switched on?
  
  This is the most common cause of automations failing – by default, newly created automations are switched off. Simply turn the automation on by clicking on this switch, and it should work.
• Is the trigger set up correctly?
  
  The second most common cause of automation failures is when the trigger hasn't been configured correctly.
