Our DMS integrations have been built from the ground-up to inherit and respect roles and permissions set in the DMS itself.
Our integrations work via deep links to files and folders within your DMS – this is similar to copying a link to a file from within your DMS itself, to share with others in emails and Teams conversations for example.
If you can't access a file directly in the DMS, then you won't be able to access it from Lupl either.
Do I have permission to access the file from within iManage / NetDocuments / OneDrive?
The first step to troubleshoot this issue is to verify with the sender that you have the relevant permissions access the document from within the DMS itself. Usually, we find in most cases that this issue is down to permissioning.
Below is an example from iManage, where these permissions can be amended:
Once they assign you the relevant permissions from within your DMS, you'll be able to access the linked document from within Lupl.
We verified the right permissions, but I still can't access the document from Lupl. What do I do?
If you can confirm:
- That the right permissions have been set;
- That you can access the linked document directly in the DMS itself; but
- That you are not able to access the linked document from Lupl,
